Arts Council England is the national development agency for the arts in England, distributing public money from Government and the National Lottery. ACE West Midlands has been a supporter of The Play House for many years and has funded numerous Language Alive! programmes. 

Creative Partnerships provides school children across England with the opportunity to develop creativity in learning and to take part in cultural activities of the highest quality. They fund The Play House Performing Arts Cluster, a project providing school children with opportunities to develop creativity in learning. 

BIG hands out half the good causes money from the National Lottery. The Lottery has funded a variety of work in our Project wing such as the Healthy Living Centre and For Tomorrow. 

Language Alive! has received funding from Birmingham City Council for a number of programmes over the years. This has mostly come through the city's Arts Education Awards, but occasionally through other grants. 

West Midlands Police funded a tour of Catalyst's Ganging Up in 2005 covering six secondary schools in the Handsworth region, part of a co-ordinated approach to tackle gang culture  by West Midlands Police and Handsworth Association of Schools. 

The Heart of Birmingham Teaching Primary Care Trust  plan and provide services for nine wards in inner-city Birmingham, including Aston, Bordesley Green, Handsworth Wood, Ladywood, Lozells & East Handsworth, Nechells, Soho, Sparkbrook and Springfield. The Play House has provided school nurse and family health nurse training in participatory techniques, and worked with them on an infant healthy-eating programme.
