Language Alive! is a Theatre in Education company that brings the curriculum to life for 3 – 11 year olds across the City of Birmingham.

At the heart of Language Alive!’s work is our aim to inspire children and young people to understand and make sense of the world they live in. This is done through the creation of imaginative fictional worlds, where children can meet anyone, real or made up, from any time period and in any setting.

By engaging children’s feelings in the characters and stories we tell, it gives them reason and passion to participate and engage as creative learners: reflecting, discussing, acting and imagining. Through this dramatic process children are making new connections with the ideas and content of the drama and through it to their own world.

All Language Alive! programmes are designed for single classes and are supported by previews and resource packs to ensure that teachers can prepare for and build upon the outcomes of the drama experience.
