Storytelling Residency

COMMUNICATION AND LANGUAGE DEVELOPMENT.

A Play House storyteller will work with small groups of children to weave their ideas into a unique and exciting tale on the spot. Co-creating these shared stories will develop children's:

  • Communication and language development.

  • Problem solving, creative and imaginative skills.

  • Confidence, self-regulation and social skills.

Anansi the Spider brings to life the tale of one of the great folk story heroes. Inspired by a wealth of traditional Ghanaian and Caribbean stories, this spidery tale will trick, sing and dance its way into children’s imaginations.

Jack and the Beanstalk

EARLY LITERACY SKILLS, PROBLEM SOLVING.

Where has Jack gone and how will the children help Jack’s mum find him? It’s time for an adventure up the beanstalk to explore the land in the clouds and save Jack from a giant.
