FLEXIBLE - ALL TERMS

Age Group: 7-11 (KS2)
 

In role as engineering experts within a fictional context, the children will learn engineering skills and concepts. Whilst working together in teams, the children will help solve the problems presented within the drama, using STEM solutions.

 

This programme has been created in response to our partnership with University of Birmingham. It is designed to de-escalate the fear of failure by supporting children to implement a process of design - test - analise, in order to make improvements. Children will use creativity, problem solving and resilience to find positive resolutions.

 

Addresses the following areas of learning in the KS2 Curriculum: 

  • S.T.E.A.M focus

  • SMSC

  • Artistic expression and ownership

  • Problem solving

  • Litercy & Maths

Outcomes / Children will:

  • Learn engineering concepts.

  • Work collaboratively in teams to overcome adversity.

  • Problem solve and find solutions.

  • Break down barriers to career pathways.
