Deadline to apply: Thursday 19th November, 2pm.

PROJECT: Split Second -an early intervention knife crime awareness piece for primary school age children and which has a cast of two actor/facilitators.

 

ROLE: 16-year-old male character who tells the narrative of their close
friend who has become involved in a knife crime incident.

 

If you are:

·       a male identifying actor of any ethnicity,

·       identifying as disabled or non-disabled,

·       based in the West Midlands,

·       aged 18-25 with a playing age of 16

 

and passionate about this issue we would like to hear from you.

Auditions will be online Monday 23rd November 2020 and Wednesday 25th November 2020.

 

Actors auditioning will be asked to prepare a 3-minute monologue from any source and will be sent an extract of script to prepare prior to audition. 

 

Rehearsals will be 4 days a week taking place between Monday 14th December 2020 and Thursday 14th January 2021. Rehearsals will take place in person in Birmingham or online depending on COVID-19 restrictions in place at the time.

 

Touring Birmingham primary schools on selected dates between Monday 18th January 2021 and Friday 12th February 2021.

 

All rates of pay and working conditions follow ITC guidance.
