Our KS1 programme of workshops support the KS1 curriculum both through core subjects such as Literacy and Science and through wider Persional Social and Emotional Development. 


Autumn Term 

Spoken English, Traditional Stories, Story Writing

The Hansel & Gretel workshop explores what ingredients are needed to tell a good story while helping children to become more confident storytellers and story makers. 


Autumn/Spring Term 

PSHE, Wellbeing, Science

Fit for a King is an interactive workshop which develops children’s confidence in making decisions about healthy eating, hygiene and fitness within an exciting fictional context.


Summer Term 

Natural world, Science, Spoken English​

By the Riverbank is an interactive journey into the natural world aimed at 3-6 year olds, developing children’s understanding of different animals and plants and their needs. 

Autumn Term

Bullying, SMSC, Spoken English​

This programme explores the issues of friendship, co-operation and bullying while highlighting skills to resolve conflict. 

Climb aboard

Summer Term 

Black History, Transition, Storytelling, Problem solving

Climb Aboard is a participatory workshop for 3-6 year olds which explores transition, memory and family history. Through an exciting mix of creative play and storytelling the children help Jim to embrace the changes in his new life, whilst joining him on a journey back into his heritage.
